§ 11B-33. Nondiscrimination in employment.

  • (a) Each contractor and subcontractor must comply with the requirements of Chapter 27, and all federal civil rights requirements prohibiting discrimination in employment. Contractors must take affirmative action to ensure that all persons are treated in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 27.
    (b) In the event of a noncompliance by a contractor or subcontractor with the nondiscrimination requirements, the contract or subcontract may be canceled, terminated, or suspended in whole or in part and the contractor or subcontractor may be declared ineligible for further County contracts. Other sanctions may be imposed and remedies invoked as provided in regulations or by contract. Contractors are required to bind their subcontractors contractually to the provisions of this Section.
